Our Faraon 28 ounce Salvadorian Red Beans are also called "Frijoles Rojos de Seda", or Seda Beans. They are harvested in Central America, where they are stored for a specific time to remove part of their humidity. These Seda Beans are as "smooth as silk", which is the translation for "Seda". You can be sure all of our Faraon beans are fresh and good to eat because we print easy to read dates on each package.
